TwoOfFive is a player for audiobooks, music, film, books and lectures that live on a public blockchain. Creators mint their own work, set their own terms, and keep the lion's share. We're the viewer — not the label, not the landlord, not the gatekeeper.
Where a $1.00 play goes
TwoOfFive takes no cut. Buyers can tip the site — a separate gift shown plainly at checkout, not part of the sale, and removable in one click. Creators can split their share with co-authors, narrators or a cause.
How it works
Think YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud or a streaming service — except the maker holds the keys, the price tag, and the resale rules.
Mint
The creator encrypts the file with a key only they hold, stores it where they choose (IPFS, Arweave, their own node), and mints a license token on Cardano or Solana — their choice — that carries the terms and the link.
Price
Per play, rental, ownership, or tip-only. Priced in crypto — or in dollars, with a live quote from a source the creator picks.
Play
The viewer pays the creator directly. The license unlocks the file in the buyer's own browser — our servers never hold the key or see the content. The receipt is cryptographic proof you paid.
Resell
If the creator allows it, an owned copy (like a book) can be resold — and the creator's royalty is paid on every resale.
For creators
- No channel to build. Publish once; it shows up in the library and anyone's compatible player.
- You set the license: per-play price, rental window, own-forever price, tips on/off.
- You control resale: allowed or not, and your royalty %.
- Splits at mint: co-authors, narrators, editors, a charity — paid in the same transaction.
- Your token outlives us. If TwoOfFive disappears, your work and your buyers' licenses are still on-chain.
For listeners & viewers
- No ads, no algorithm, no autoplay rabbit hole. A library, not a feed.
- Wallet login. Add an email or phone if you want one for recovery or notices — never required. No Google/Apple sign-in, no tracking pixels.
- Pay the person who made it. Your money goes to the creator's address, not a pool.
- Receipts you keep. Proof of what you bought, verifiable without us.
- Tip anything. Even free work.
- Talk off-site. Creators share a Session, SimpleX or Signal link. We don't host chats.
Payments: we're not in the middle
TwoOfFive is not a payment processor and takes no cut of sales. Buyers pay creators directly; creators run their own payment node — a StartOS box or equivalent — so we never hold, route, or convert anyone's money.

Cheap enough for per-play licenses; resale royalties can be enforced by the token itself.
Pay privately
Buyer pays the creator's Monero address and keeps a proof of that one payment. The creator's own node confirms it and sends the license. No view keys leave the creator, no bridge, no pool.

Creator sets $4.99; buyer pays the crypto equivalent, quoted from CoinGecko, Kraken, or the creator's own node.
Tip TwoOfFive — optional, separate, always visible
At checkout a small tip to the site is pre-selected and shown right in your total — one click on “No tip” removes it. It's a gift to keep the lights on, not payment for anything: your license is the same at 0% as at 20%. It rides along in the same transaction as a separate, labeled output.
A viewer, not a censor — and not a hiding place
We don't police what goes up, and we can't open your files. We also report what we're told about and comply with lawful requests. Treat anything you post here like you're handing it to law enforcement — because anything public is public to everyone.
What we keep
- Email or phone optional, never required. No ID. Wallet login; 2FA by a second wallet or hardware key.
- No play or search logs, no site messaging.
- One year of account and report records, then purged once you delete your account.
What we do with reports
- Anyone can report straight to the authorities, free, no account needed. Reports filed through us come from license holders; any stake against false reports is TBD.
- Abuse-material reports go to NCMEC. Sales pause in our viewer; authorities get a public 90-day clock to act.
- Court and agency blocks are public, with the authority's name and order number — and they must lift blocks a court overturns.
Coming next: listings
The same license rail works for more than media. Profiles will be able to list goods and services, settled the same way: buyer pays seller directly, receipts on-chain, TwoOfFive as the venue — never the vendor. Same rules apply: everything public is public, reports go to authorities, and illegal products and services aren't welcome.
Built on the rail
TwoOfFive started as an evidence and settlement rail: cryptographic delivery objects, receipts that hold up in court, settlement that doesn't surveil. A license is just a delivery object for art — the same receipts prove who paid, who owns, and when.
